MOVING MOUNTAINS

From the hillsides of Ibituruna, Minas Gerais, coffee begins a long journey — tended by farmers, carried across oceans, and roasted in small batches here with us. It’s a quiet reminder that what once felt impossible can take shape with care and persistence. In its own way, each harvest is about moving mountains: building bridges from their land to our hands, and from our roastery to your cup.

THE ORIGIN

In the hills of Ibituruna, Minas Gerais, Fazenda Taquaral reflects the legacy of Luiz Figueiredo and his father before him. Returning home after years in agronomy, Luiz committed himself to coffee cultivation, nurturing the soils that shape the region’s unique character. 

THE PROCESS

This lot was crafted through aerobic fermentation, a method that allows the beans to breathe and develop clean, balanced flavors. The careful handling brings out a refined sweetness while preserving the coffee’s natural brightness. 

THE VARIETY

Yellow Catucaí reveals itself here with juicy notes of peach and stone fruits, lifted by a touch of candied lemon zest and delicate florals. The combination of variety and process results in a lively, elegant cup that speaks to the richness of Brazil’s highlands.
